Amanda's 30 years as a freelance make-up artist has covered a broad spectrum of assignments; in beauty, fashion and photographic portraiture, in both advertising and editorial work.
Based in London, Amanda's work has enabled her to travel to many locations; some luxurious, some barely habitable! working in all weather conditions. Sometimes this means starting work at 4 am so that the photographer can take advantage of the very first rays of the day. Other times may involve working late into the night in a studio to achieve the results, or making up the face of a celebrity prior to a red carpet event.
Her excellent qualification in beauty therapy gave her the grounding she needed to ensure the very best results for the perfect make-up. A combination of an interest in real skin care and make-up application has given her all the knowledge and experience required for her teaching.
Since moving to Dorset, Amanda has concentrated on teaching, she is passionate about her field and feels that together with her creative skills, her sensitive approach to her clients, and her wealth of knowledge she offers the very best service.
Her studio is a welcoming and relaxed space, a morning spent in her company has been described as "hugely worthwhile and enjoyable."
